Yes-despite my whimsy on the other thread-I don't really hanker after pewter. Surprisingly, I quite like branded glasses, as long as they contain the right beer-Harveys in a Harveys pot!

a.k.a You just can't tell whether it is cloudy vinegar until you taste it, with a hint of analgam, from a Davy's pewter tankard!

Me too, althouth the previous version (i.e. not that in PaulOfHorsham's avatar) was a much better glass...

The last time I was in a Davy's, for reviewing purposes as I don't like them, I asked for a half and the manager served it in an over sized half glass and told me the measurements where exact and he couldn't fill it to the top. Hmmm!

I'll drink out of pretty much anything, but I have never been overly keen on the straight glasses you find in Wetherspoon outlets. They're suited to lager perhaps, but not ale. I do agree with Strongers: there is nothing worse then drinking Guinness out of a lager glass - or vice-versa, actually. I recall drinking lager out of a Guinness glass on more than one occasion.

Not sure about that - I reckon that drinking an otherwise fine pint of cask ale out of a John Smiths Smooth glass about as bad as it gets, not for taste or flavour, but oh the shame...
