Been a great week for top notch beer. Really enjoyed Saltaire 'Cascade' & 'Blackberry Cascade', Inveralmond 'Lia Fail', Ossett 'Real Ale Revolution IPA', Goose Eye 'Newsholme Gold'. However, my BOTW was the weakest: Brew Dog 'Edge' had excellent flavour for 3.2% and made a mockery of their reputation for only brewing publicity seeking rocket fuel.

    A so-so beer-week for HTM69, with 15 pints consumed over a 3-day period.

Ringwood Huffkin Autumn Ale x 4
    Sharps Doom Bar x 3
Green King Abbott Ale x 1
    Tuborg Lager x 1
    Staropramen x 1
Newcastle Brown Ale [bottle] x 1
Exe Valley Brewery Autumn Glory x 1
    St Austell Tribute x 1
Old Dairy Brewery Gold Top x 3

BOTW: Old Dairy Brewery Gold Top - a 10/10 beer if ever there were one!

Not much that has shone for me with regards to new beers sampled so I'll fall back on the Adnams Explorer I had this week in the Golden Lion at St James - not a pint I see around very often and it is among my favourites in the Adnams stable.

Too many beers this week with Nottingham beer fest, but have fallen down miserably on trying to mark the good beers.

Enjoyed Milestone Lion Heart in the Gatehouse Nottingham, but have marked Toad Texas Frogspawn Massacre 5.9% that we had at the festival, so will make the Toad one my BOTW.

Thats a good call,I should have been more specific....it can be really grim on the Herts/Essex border on the ale front .Those fine beers dont seem to have made it to Waltham Abbey,Broxborne,Hoddesdon,Harlow or Bishops Stortford.

A close run thing with Titanic Chocolate and Vanilla stout a big contender but I'm going for Orkney Dark Island as my BotW
I've just joined Alcoholics Anonymous - I still drink, just under a different name.
