This review is both inaccurate and irrelevant - and rather old. The Duke of Clarence is a regular pub, not a night club. Whether it's frequented by gays or not is neither here nor there. Please delete.

Agree it is not a review so deleted, we are happy enough for people to mention that a location is GLBT friendly in a review though, it may be considered useful information for those seeking that.

I don't really see what we should do about these ones. I have no idea when Alan went and don't favour editing others reviews; and have no idea if "eddie and bev" run the pub or indeed serve real ale, we could remove theirs as not a review, but assuming they are who they say they are that is somewhat antagonistic. I suppose a fair move would be to delete the pub from the system.

Why not just remove both reviews then Al can check when he visited and whether or not his notes are actually for that pub.

It sounds better to me than removing the pub, especially as it has other reviews & photos.

I was needlessly ambiguous in the original reply.

- There is nothing wrong with those reviews so we will not be deleting them.

I was trying to point out that I had no idea why it was being flagged on this thread. If oldboots was trying to ask Alan to alter his review, this is not the thread or forum to do that in. Requests forum, or a PM would be better suited I think. Apologies, I should have just said that rather than the wooly explanation used.

Nothing wrong with Als review. I just thought it would be unfair to remove the reply alone, as everyone should be allowed a right to reply to what they consider to be unfair representation of their pub.

If Als review was from e.g. 1993 then eddie & bev were probably not even at the pub then and may not know what was on the bar.
