    Tamworth Tap

CAMRA Pub of the Year, and not ruined by the award but certainly popular, the ale range on a recent visit was first class across a variety of styles & strengths and perfectly conditioned.A very worthy winner and a must visit when in Tamworth IMHO.

Two weeks in Borth/Aberystwyth provides a few contenders.

The Glengower, White Horse in Aber were two favourites much changed from my uni days - but really enjoyed the trip to the pub at the top of Constitution Hill. No cask but the Brains keg Barry Island IPA was spot on overlooking the Cardigan Bay.

A tour of west London resulted in 32 new pub visits this month, with nine scoring above average:

    The Bell & Crown
    The Bulls Head
    The Castle Inn
    George IV
    The Grange
    The Haven Arms
    The Rose & Crown
    The Wheatsheaf

By a whisker, POTM goes to The Red Lion.

Best revisit goes to The Express Tavern.

May be a tourist haunt, but enjoyable for a town pub:The Grapes

Another vote for this one. As good as, if not better than, before the CAMRA POTY award.
