This week:
Ainsty Cool Citra
Blue Monkey Coconut Mild*
Abnoba Meanwood Black Forest Porter*
Oakham Green Devil IPA*
Brunswick Triple Hop
Everards West Coast IPA*
Oakham Bishops Farewell*
I was impressed with Everards West Coast IPA, which I haven't seen before, but BOTW has to go Oakham Green Devil IPA on spectacular form in the ever excellent Tamworth Tap.
"Beer is food." Morse, Colin Dexter
Bedworth and Tamworth
Marston's -- Lighter Nights
Castle Rock -- Our House
Timothy Taylor -- Landlord
Ainsty -- Cool Citra *
Blue Monkey -- Coconut Mild *
Meanwood -- Abnoba Black Forest Porter *
Oakham -- Green Devil IPA *
The last four were all excellent and any of them would normally win BOTW,all sampled in the Tamworth Tap,a very worthy winner of the latest CAMRA Pub of the Year.Although the award has brought in more punters, the atmosphere has not been impacted and the very swift service from behind the bar means any queue dissipates at speed.I have to agree on BOTW in Oakham Green Devil IPA which scored 5 on NBSS .
Next week a final footie match of the season seems the most likely supplier of the winner.,although a trip to the Harp is always worthwhile.
