WhatPub links changed but not deletable

I've found a couple of pubs where the WhatPub reference has changed and the link therefore leads to a 404 message like this. But when I tried deleting the link so that I could replace it with this one, the deletion process got stuck on a "removing now" message and wouldn't complete.

The same thing happened here, so I was unable to replace that one with this.

As an experiment, I deleted the WhatPub link on another pub nearby and this worked perfectly (and was easily replaced!).

Any suggestions or solutions, or do we have to ask for help from DAVE!?!?!?!

I've had that a couple of times, but can't remember exactly where annoyingly.

The fact that it happened twice on WhatPub links that have been deleted by WhatPub suggests that the "delete link" process is somehow trying to confirm the link (by contacting the originating website) before deleting it. Which feels intuitively unnecessary, but perhaps there are coding reasons.

I've found another one that refuses to delete. This time it is a link that is on the wrong pub on this site, and the page on WhatPub still exists but the pub is marked as closed. As before, the button when pressed changes to "removing now" but then stops. This is the link to WhatPub that we should have: https://whatpub.com/pubs/LIN/67/craft-lincoln
