    Default Miller & Carter Maidstone

    Miller & Carter Maidstone

The White Rabbit (Miller & Carter) steakhouse in Maidstone is no longer a pub, just a restaurant. I’ve had friends turned away when asking for just a drink.

Not saying that you are wrong, but I find this odd (despite the current WhatPub description and the old 2018 Kent Online story), as all the Miller & Carter outlets I've tried (6) have been fine about people just having a drink in a small general seating area by the bar.

Just emailed them and they confirmed they do not allow drinking only because their bar area is quite small and often busy with guests arriving for their meals. This is backed up by a friend who went in with his young son hoping to sit in the garden area but was refused entry. More money to be made from food than beer I guess.

Fair enough, and now shown closed.
