    A better week

    Flowerpots Goodens Gold*
    Flowerpots Peridge Pale*
    Timothy Taylors Landlord
    Fullers London Pride
Disruption Never Knew You Where Here* (cask version)
    Outhouse Joker
    Kent Southern Cross*
    Marble Thasos*
    Play Choco Fudge*
    Brew By Numbers Hazelnut Stout*
    Mallisons Citra*
    VOG South Island
    Only With Love Halland
    Rudgate South Pacific Ale
    Elusive Oregon Trail*
    Cloudwater Concrete Jungle*
    Front Row Wot No Cheyz*

The Oregon Trail was excellent but will go with a new beer for me this week , less potent but equally excellent, full bodied and flavoursome for a 3.5% beer, Marble Thasos, taken in the Ten Tun Taphouse.

    Harlow,Ham and the West End.

    Mc Mullen -- IPA
Mc Mullen -- AK Original Mild
    Twickenham -- Naked Ladies
Sam Smiths -- Old Brewery Bitter
    Stewart -- Backing Blue
Dark Star -- Pacific Dawn IPA *
    St Austell -- Tribute
    Portobello -- Star

The only really memorable pint ,and hence BOTW is Dark Star Pacific Dawn IPA in solid nick in the charming Red Lion.

Next week three days in Scotland reprising pubs in Glasgow and Edinburgh.Hoping for decent ale and some interesting venues.

    Firmly Midlands:

    Millstone True Grit*
    Byatt's Novus (dry hopped porter)*
    Wily Fox Crafty Fox
    Milestone Hammerhead*
    Oakham Bishops Farewell*

The Hammerhead, a 5.6% ruby stout, was probably the best I've had from this brewery and the Novus, as is usual for Byatt's now, was very good.

BOTW Millstone True Grit. An favourite rarely seen this far south. A full flavoured, 5%, citrussy pale.

    Bit late this week.

    Tigertops - Half Sessions.*
    Mallinsons - US Blonde.
    Wilde Child - Futures Past.
    Jolly Boys - Supa Citra.
Fernandes - Ale to the Tsar.
    Sunbeam - Black Forest Gateau.*
    Tigertops - White Dwarf Pale.*
    Fernandes - Malt Shovel Mild.*
    Rat - Anth-rats.
    Fernandes - Firebrand.
    Fernandes - Nelson IPA.

BOTW took me by surprise, this week. I tried it out of a ticker's curiosity and was expecting something sickly sweet, but it actually had quite a dry finish. Probably couldn't manage more than a pint, but it was certainly different. Sampled in The Polka Hop.
