Kent:unlikely that I'll see the inside of a pub tomorrow, so my BOTW is:

    Kent-Tropic Ale 4.9%abv.Juicy 'n' fruity.

BOTW, I'm going for another first of the day - perfect clarity at the start of a fine tour of the excellent Derby, Brunswick's 'Rocket'
Met PoH later, when back in the Alexandra, who summarily accused me of being drunk, well, yes Paul, good pub crawls can have that effect..!!

Goacher's famous (but rare) Old 1066 winter ale (actual ABV 6.7%), taken at Marden Village Club on the day it was given Camra's Club of the Year award.

Just the one pub visited this week but three times.

    Mallisons Incredible Scenes
    Oakham Citra*
    Hopback Taiphoon*
Triple fff Pressed Rat & Warthog*
    VOG Barrifonia
    Hop Kettle Long Nights
New Bristol Lime & Raspbery Crumble Sour*

Oakham Citra was on great form , so too was Hop Back Taiphoon which just nicks it.

    Vocation -- Naughty & Nice *
    Five Points -- SBR IPA
    Saltaire -- Blonde
    Ossett -- White Rat *
Goose Eye -- Spring Wells *
    Timothy Taylor -- Boltmaker
    Oakham -- JHB *
Tring -- Sidepocket for a Toad

Some real quality last week and BOTW by a short nose goes to Ossett White Rat in perfect nick in the equally perfect Three Pidgeons Full marks all round and a new contender for my Top 10 Pub List.

Next week a mermorial in Sheffield but there will be drinking.

    Oakham Bishops Farewell*
    Holdens Golden Glow

All starred were excellent although for one pint only with the Peanut Butter Stout. BOTW Everards Old Original in tip top condition.

Managed to get out last week:

    St Austell Cornish Best (3.4%)
    Chiltern Earl Grey IPA (3.9%)
    Oakham Original Pale Ale (4.0%)
    Chiltern Colombian Coffee Porter (4.1%)
    Rebellion Smuggler (4.2%)
    Tring Moongazing (4.2%)
Dead Brewers' Society Edmunds of Banbury Best Bitter (4.4%)
    Vale Black Beauty Porter (4.4%)
    Ichnusa Ichnusa Anima Sarda (4.7%)
    Animal (XT) Magpie: Self-Reflection (6.5%)

Mixed bag, dominated by locals but a clear winner in Vale's lovely dry and roasty Black Beauty Porter taken in the local ale-focussed Inn at Emmington.
