I always give a '1' if I never get served. It's different if it's busy, but if I'm ignored in a new pub for more than about five minutes and then leave, so my lowest 'worst' score for a pub is always '2'.Originally Posted by Quinno
Social Chill bar is more a dodgy nightclub than pub. It used to be Stepping Stones cafe bar, an excellent lefty alternative community centre, opened with a local council grant.
Maidstone has several new cafe bar type places. Not sure whether to add as pubs or not. Craft Brewed is on the site and quite a good new place.
Rainbow Skull vegan cafe has become Skull Bar and includes meat on the menu. Seems to be a change for the worse and always looks empty, so not sure how long it will survive.
Across the walkway in the same shopping centre Beach Bar is about to open with cocktails, bubble tea and beer. Owned by the Thai restaurant next door it looks like a horrible prospect.
To add or not to add? That is the question.

Well the answer is..
Do they sell beer that a punter can walk in off the street and drink, if so add them, they don't neccessarily have to be good.

That sounds horrendous! But when you write "The muzak was an awful selection of ballards" I presume that's a typo for "ballads", as Russ Ballard is a very good singer, guitarist, song writer and producer.

Had a similar experience in the Molly House during my first and only visit to date. I've seen more recent reviews suggest it's worth a visit so was considering giving it another go, but now I'm not so sure!
Don't waste your time, it's a classic Manchester CAMRA "down wiv de kidz" pick. They have too many entries.
