A very early runner for me is Abbott Reserve, but I'm holding fire as the next guest up is Titanic Last Porter Call with Thornbridge Kipling not too far away.

Managed to fire down a few whilst in Leeds yesterday. Tried Fat Cat 'Marmalade' and 'Top Cat', Roosters 'Bangtail' and the rather disappointing Saltaire 'Cascadian Black'. However, the clear leader for BOTW at the moment is the superb pint of Leeds Best I had at The Midnight Bell. Hopefully, Todmorden BF, on Saturday, will throw up a few challengers.

Believe it or not I have only had two this week - both this evening (I've had a heavy cold most of the week)! Rebellion Mutiny wins by default as I didn't like the other one - Goff's White Knight.

Alesonly - just learnt how to get that smiley banner to edit!

    just twigged

Well I'm going to get in first with this one as I suspect it may get voted BOTW by a couple of other people (you know who you are).

Raw Brewing Company Grey Ghost, tried at Todmorden beer festival.

Certainly my beer of the festival.

    It's 5.9% and dangerously drinkable.

Sounds good, and, as you say, dangerous. Another new brewery, to me.

Due to lack of circulation, I have to be boring and vote, again, for Thornbridge Kipling. Another cheapy at The George, Croydon.

My bar comment of the week was heard at the Green Dragon, with a punter advising his neighbour to avoid the Dark Star Tripel (8.5%), before himself opting for the 'safety' of a pint of... Old Rosie (7.3%), hehehe.

Well, Last Porter Call tuned up yesterday so I had a little drink-off between it and Abbott Reserve.

My vote this week. Titanic's Last Porter Call, perhaps the most cleverly named beer of them all.
While we are on the subject, sort of, the 'Titanic', I raised a glass to First Officer Murdoch. May he never hear the allegations that he panicked. It just goes to show, you should never make allegations when you don't know what you a talking about...........

yep I think so too, although the Darkstar Hylder Blonde was pretty good as well. Unless Witney offers anything lovely tonight it will be Grey Ghost for me.
