Some crackers to choose from last month, especially with the PuG trip to Burton and tempting that it is to go with Coopers Tavern the final decision is The Boleyn Tavern, especially as I took a West Ham supporting mate and it was the first time for him to go back since the Spammers moved out to their new toilet facilities, and it brought a tear to his eye to see what they have done to the place.

As with Gann above, it's hard not to go with The Coopers Tavern in Burton, but I think that was a POTM on my first visit there a year or so ago , so equally as good in a slightly different way I'm going with The Brunswick Inn, another 9/10er. Honourable mentions for The Alexandra Hotel and The Burton Bridge Inn.

I hadn't been far afield this month, but did look in here.BRAPA was favourably impressed during his recent foray into Kent:Bell & Jorrocks

Three new pubs to me this month which get an '8'. As both the Burton Bridge and Coopers (twice) have been mentioned I'm going to go off piste for one I'd forgotten about for well over 30 years, this is my POTM with an additional vote for weirdest POTM.

    The Burton Bridge Inn.

I usually pop in The Coopers when in Burton,so POTM goes to this "new visit" pub with some charming heritage features.
