    Hi all,

I will have to put myself in the "maybe" column for this one I'm afraid. Mainly financial reasons. I am not working at the moment and things are a little tight to be honest.
Having said that a lot can change over the next few weeks so you never know. As I live close to Brum ( and even closer to the Bull and Bladder, Trainman ! ) I could turn up at a moments notice. If this is likely I will PM one of the "leaders" for a phone number so I can find you all.
I may even wear my " I drank in Cradley Heath and survived " badge !!

    Cheers,

    Del.

    A Friday you say?
    An all-dayer?

Hmmmm. Going to have to think about this one.

Will there be competitive reviewing afterwards?

Hopefully help but only an opinion but possible suggestions for a bit of a mix up for the City Centre (within the inner ring road):-

    Beer:
    Old Contemptibles
Pub du Vin (now in 2011 GBG)
    Briar Rose (JDW)
    Joint Stock
Wellington (you can check what beers they are selling via their web site)
and possibly City Tavern, and Victoria (if you like Wye Valley)

    Architecture:
Probably not a lot in City unfotunately, but possibly Joint Stock, Bacchus and Prince of Wales offer a bit of variety.

Further afield Hockley/Jewellery Qtr, Digbeth, and the Lamp Tavern just south of the city offers Stanway, and the Barton Arms offers Oakham.

There is a new brewery in Birmingham, Two Towers, plus ABC and I think Birmingham Brewey is still going. So if you see any of these beers it would be worth sampling.

    Now I feel thirsty!

    Danny

I’m actually contemplating this little trip, myself. However, I generally don’t fare particularly well on so-called pub crawls. I’m usually sloshed by the 7th pint and am nowhere near the seasoned drinker that many here are. Sure, I could drink halves throw the odd soft drink into the mix to stabilize things, but that’s been the plan before and it never bloody happens that way!

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the couple of London meet-up’s I have attended and will definitely attempt to come along should there be another one soon!

If it helps it is a safe bet you are nowhere near the lightweight I am given I barely drink now.

A good way to advertise PuG, I'll get a banner to drape over the Lidl trolley. Do we have enough £1 coins?
