    Late on parade,all about Burton.

    Marston's -- Bass
    Oakham -- Relativity
    Heritage Brewing -- Charrington's Oatmeal Stout *
Bang the Elephant -- Monchito * (keg)
    Fownes --King Korvak's Saga *
Salopian -- Hiding in Plain Sight *
Burton Bridge -- Top Dog Stout
    Tower -- Sundown

Really enjoyed the dark beers in Burton, special mention to the recreation of Charrington's Oatmeal Stout but BOTW goes to Fownes King Korvak's Saga,a 5% porter in great nick in their tap,TheOlde Royal Oak.

I had the Charrington's IPA at The Harp the other day, the first time I've seen a [revived?] Charrington's beer since the '80s and it was very good indeed.

My early drinking career was based in a Charrington's house with their IPA as often the only option.Lot's of it went down but locally I much prefered Young's beer then brewed in Wandsworth.I am too young to have seen Charrington's Oatmeal Stout on cask, but the Heritage Brewing revival was great.I suppose HB will also close with the National Brewery Centre

Disappointed to miss Burton but enjoyed a couple of pints of BOTW Tydd Steam Piston Bob straight from the barrel. A 4.6% BBB but balanced and with a pleasingly bitter finish. A BB perhaps.

    Having found my notebook...

    Chin Chin - Check Codes.*
    Half Moon - Old Forge.
    Revolutions - Cruel Summer.
    Fernandes - Nelson IPA.*
    Fernandes - Chinook.

A Chin Chin beer is BOTW for two weeks on the trot. They must be doing something right. Taken at Luis Bar @ Fernandes.
