For the uninitiated, it's a nice way to compile your listening tastes (that's a subjective term) against other people, and thereby find new music that may be similar to your own. (I personally am happy looking at the graphs my listening produces but I'm a geek)

I'm surprised no one responded to this, it is an excellent service. I did play with it for a while although I fear it demonstrates my lack of taste.
