    Kent:

Ramsgate Brewery (Gadd's)-Thoroughly Modern MILD 6%abv.Luscious,malty amber beer.More hops than I'd expected tempered the inherent sweetness.Grand. My BOTW.

    Quality:

    Brunswick Rocket
    Marble Export Mild*
    Empire White Lion*
    Elland Beyond the Pale*
    Durham Bede's Chalice*
    Oakham Bishops Farewell*

All starred were good but BOTW has to be Durham Bede's Chalice. A rich, complex, 9% Belgian Tripel which hides it's strength.

All very mixed around Worsley. (Barton Arms, Bridgewater Hotel, John Gilbert, Worsley Old Hall then back to the John Gilbert)

Thornbridge - Jaipur was on great form in the John Gilbert.

    Derby,Hertford,Richmond and Charing Cross.

    Brunswick -- Rocket
    Marble -- Export Mild *
    Empire -- White Lion *
Elland -- Beyond the Pale *
    Durham -- Bede's Chalice *
    Timothy Taylor -- Golden Best
Church End -- Gravediggers Mild *
    Oakham -- White Dwarf *
    Redemption -- Big Chief *
    Beavertown -- Neck Oil (keg)

BOTW goes to Marble Export Mild, nicely dialled up but with distinct mild character.Sampled as part of an excellent session in the Smithfield which also provided the previously mentions Durham Bede's Chalice among others.

    Next week looking distinctly quiet.

A disastrous week, all in Islington and nothing special.

Just three ales and all BOTW:

Five Points - Best **½ at The Earl of Essex.
St. Austell - Proper Job **½ at The King's Head.
Timothy Taylor - Landlord **½ at The Hen & Chickens Theatre Bar.

Not ventured far last week, a little trip around Winchester to try and make some sense of a prospective route for the upcoming crawl,I didn't learn a lot, plus my main locals, some decent beer all the same.

    Flowerpots - Goodens Gold
    Flowerpots - Perridge Pale
    Hop Back - Summer Lightning
    Monkey - In The Vines*
    Verdant - 10 Watt Moon*
    Cellar Head - Session Pale*
    Pennine - Summer Topaz
Lost And Grounded - Amplify Your Sound*
    Elusive - Master Of Olympus
    Ascot - Festival ESB*
    Disruption - Battle Royale Simcoe*

    Three Brothers - Trilogy Blonde
    Downlands - Highlighter
    Durham - Dark Angel
    Brunswick - Rocket

This week the honours go the way of keg and Disruption - Battle Royale Simcoe, taken , as often is the case with BOTW, in The Alfred.
