    Kent:

Kent Brewery-Session Pale 3.7%abv.Lovely zestful pint, punching way above its weight. My BOTW

Very limited this week with just Oakham Bishops Farewell on cask. Very good as ever.

Hence, BOTW goes to Marble Cubbio Damage from a can. Still superb nontheless.

Just a handful of pre-curry swifties, this week.

    North Riding - Citra.*
    Mill Valley - Yorkshire Mild.
    Tigertops - Pacific.
    Titanic - Plum Porter.
    7 Brothers - American IPA.*
    Ilkley - Blonde.

The Citra was excellent, as usual, but as I've nominated it several times over the years, I'll give the honours to the IPA. Taken in Harry's Bar.

Not too bad a week, some unfortunate forced errors due to reviewing some new pubs where alternative choices were even less appealing:

    Beavertown - Neck Oil (k)
    Bulmers - Strongbow (k)
    ELB - Cowcatcher (c) *
    ELB - Nightwatchman (c)
    Five Points - Railway Porter (c) **
    Fuller's - Atlantic (c) *½
    Guinness - Guinness (k) **
    Kronenbourg - Kronenbourg (k)
    Marlow Brewery - Rebellion IPA (c) *
    New Barns - Dry Stout (c) *½
    Northern Monk - Eternal (c) **
    Only With Love - Let's Go! (c) *½
    Siren - Nepenthe (c) **
    Timothy Taylor - Boltmaker (c)
    Timothy Taylor - Landlord (c) **
    Tring - Pale Four (c) **
    Titanic - Black Ice (c) ¾
    Wild Beer - Bibble (c) **½
    Young's - Special (c) *

    Runners up:

    Brewhouse - Triple AAA (c) **½
    Wild Beer - Bibble (c) **½

BOTW goes to Brass Castle - Bad Kitty (c) ***¼ just before last orders at The Cock Tavern last night.

A few top class brewers included and some good beer of several styles, but the clear winner is also probably one of the most expensive beers I've ever payed for at £6.15 a half, it was however sensationaly good. Siren Turn consumed in All Hail Ale.

You're probably right. Unfortunately, my reviewing mojo has deserted me, at the moment. DH is one of those individuals who is negative about almost everywhere he visits. He also contributes to another site I dip into and he's exactly the same there.

I wonder why they charged do much? My similarly strong half of Maiden cost £4.50 at The Old Fountain
