Punch Taverns could show boxing all day.

Enterprise Inns could show Star Trek.

Ember Inns could show Fireman Sam.

JDW could show the Weather channel.

    I'm sure there's loads more.

I think, sadly, most will end up showing the BBC News channel - so totally depressing

    Winchesterclub - Minder

Hondo - Silent Witness, or Take the High Road

Mankey Badger - Tales form the Riverbank

    Apres chain - Ski Sunday

JDWTV will probably be coming soon. At least we'll all know who to blame.
I seem to remember he was one of the suggested hosts in another thread. Maybe it is an attempt to get a job.

That is the problem when Arwkrite is allowed to dry out...he goes all Corporate. I can remember when I had brilliant ideas ( I used to nick em out of books ). Then I took a look at whose ar£3672£ I was sniffing and I thought why bother . I was hoping to go cold turkery, I am starving and some turkey soup would be favourite.

Hondo strikes me as more your "chewin' the fat" type (although younger) rather than all that short bread tin stuff, if that's not insulting an Embra person with too much West coast prejudice.

Like the Silent Witness bit though, spot on pal, tacturn Scotsman or what?

There are already some pubs that use their screens for advertising special offers, events etc. The Hop Poles in Hammersmith is one and I think the Steam Passage in Islington also does it.

A few places locally have started doing that - rather they switched them off.
