A pub is for life not just for Christmas
Kent:
Angels and Demons-Bombay Social 3.8%abv:Zinging herbal hay.Superb. My BOTW, and highest scoring beer so far this year.
"At that moment I would have given a kingdom, not for champagne or hock and soda, or hot coffee but for a glass of beer" Marquess Curzon of Kedlestone, Viceroy of India.
Croydon,Harlow and N1.
Oakham -- Citra

McMullen's -- AK
McMullen's --IPA
Kent -- Prohibition *
Adnams -- Mosaic Pale(keg)
East London Brewery -- Foundation Bitter
Goodness Brewery --A Love Supreme *(keg)
BOTW goes to Kent Prohibition on top form in King Charles I.
Next week a spot of boating and an end month session off Hatton Gardens.
"Good people drink good beer" Hunter S Thompson
This week's pub going was based on a marathon session, in Huddersfield, whilst watching the Six Nations.
Mallinsons - Mosaic.
Nailmaker - Anvil.*
Ossett - Polaris.
Rat - Ratella.
Goose Eye / Ossett - Pretty Fly For a Goose Eye.*
Ossett - Butterley.
Rat - White Rat.
Rat - King Rat.
The overall standard was pretty high, as it usually is in Huddersfield. However, the highlighted beers just had a slight edge. As the Anvil was particularly enjoyable, as one of only two dark beers of the day, it can take the honours, this week. Sampled in the newly opened County Beerhouse.

Wylam - Golden Ale (c) *
MEBT (Most Ethical Beer of the Week): Brewhouse - Triple AAA.
Runner up:
Siren - Maiden - 2021 (c) ***½ At The Old Fountain. On stillage, I was shocked to see it was 11% ABV after I'd ordered it as I've never had anything more than 6%, but the alcohol level didn't dominate. On the first sip I could tell it was produced using the Solera system, as there were strong notes of dry sherry and ruby port and seemed reasonable value at £4.50 a half, considering the strength. One for sipping in a pub by a log fire I think...
BOTW - Titanic - Plum Porter (c) **** Never had this before and Titanic beers are hard to come by here, at The Southampton Arms.
