Thanks 'hondo', we can always rely on you to keep abreast of the news. 'Wholesome cheerleader image'? Yeah, right. I think the clue's in the name of the chain.
'And where he supped the past lived still. And where he sipped the glass brimmed full' John Barleycorn, Carol Ann Duffy.
"It is a wholesome cheerleader look. If it is someone's birthday or a kid's party, they may do a little dance routine."
Am I to understand from this that Hooters do children's parties?
Well I would happily go in there !!
This story has reminded me of a "saucy" seaside postcard I saw once. The picture was a suitably top heavy woman taking her bra off. There was a bloke reading the sport pages in the paper and the caption :
" I see both Bristols are out of the Cup ! "
Classic British humour - it still makes me chuckle.

I am a salmon !!
I visited two Hooter establishments in Florida a few years ago. The waitresses , then wearing an orange cheerleader type uniform with what appeared to be support tights, were friendly, polite and efficient. Much in the style of American Corporate Hospitality. I would have had no worries about holding a kids party in either of them. Not quite as barmy asTGI Friday though.
The beer was American, just short of frozen solid, but the big buckets of hot, spicy chicken wings made Hooters worth a visit. Both places were located in Tourist/ Family shopping areas.
