A short trip to Macclesfield yielded 3 new pubs despite it being well trodden ground, including the rather excellent The Castle

Finally off the mark with the 2 Sommar brewery pubs in Brum. A slow start but I did have to isolate for the first 10 days this year!!

We enjoy the Sommar pubs too. Only had 1 new one so far this year, Vagabond just up from the Wellington in Birmingham. Went to check it out and found there were some self service taps in there. Another with self service taps is Auto Brew in Digbeth. They were not open when I was down there, but I was let in to have a look, and will go to check properly another day. Off to Exeter to do the beer festival and some pubs this weekend. New place for us so hope to add some to our total.

Second of the year yesterday, adding the Five Lamps during a stellar crawl of Derby.
Fantastic ale range pub after pub, and condition of all my selections was immaculate.

Just 2 so far - slow start to the year. Largely visiting my trusted favourites at the moment. Should do much better next month.

Managed 15 for Janurary, could have improved on that yesterday in London but only managed 1, the lure of the tried and tested got the better of me for the rest of the day.

Surprised myself with 52 for the month, including 19 over three days in London this week. That would have been 20, but I realised as soon as I walked into the Star Tavern in Belgravia that I had been there before, with some of my Luton Town mates, back in the days when I didn't write pub visits down in notebooks.
