Thankfully, managed to squeeze in our traditional pre-Christmas drink in Skipton, on Saturday. Enjoyed a wander round the Narrow Boat, Beer Engine, Boathouse, Mess Room, Two Doors and Early Doors.

    Horsforth - Mosaic.*
    Mobberley - Onyx.
Ilkley - Hitchhikers Guide Dog To The Galaxy.
    Roosters - One Eighty.
    Hopback - Citra.
    Kirkstall - Dissolution IPA.
    Fyne - Clachan Dubh.
    Roosters - Yankee.
    Wharfedale - IPA.
Goose Eye - Over & Stout.*

Surprisingly, there wasn't an awful lot to quicken the pulse. Several beers seemed a little below par. The Mosaic and the Over & Stout were the pick of the bunch, with the former just shading it.

Harlow,St Pancras and Croydon.A mixed bag.

    Mc Mullens -- IPA
    Redemption -- Big Chief *
    Twickenham -- Naked Ladies
    BrewDog -- Layer Cake (c)
    Oakham -- Citra
    Twickenham -- London Porter *(3PT)

BOTW just has to go to Twickenham London Porter, using an old style London malt the chocolate and coffee is subtly balanced by a dryness that just demands a second, third and so on.A fine example of it's type and on top form in The George.

Next week more footie and then the annual Hertford Pub Crawl

Some excellent beer in Readings Nags Head but this weeks clear BOTW is as predicted on the "How Much ? " thread, Pohjala Peel And Bean, stupendously pricey at £5.30 a half in Southamptons BrewDog but so very much worth it on the day.
