Default odmorden Beer Festival 2010 - anybody coming along?

Odmorden is a slip of the fingers, but anyone who knows Todmorden will also know it may well have been a Freudian slip.

I have now confirmed Todmorden Beer Festival dates with the cricket club.

24th & 25th September with a drinking up session on the 26th if there's any left.

We'll be going along on the Saturday afternoon as usual about 1 p.m.

Anyone else up for joining us this year?

Should be there all being well. Will try and drag the 'trouble and strife' along.

OK all sorted for Todmorden, we'll be getting there about 1 p.m. Northern Rail permitting.

12:03 at Tod' station - Northern Rail and a possible stop at Sowerby Bridge permitting, giving me lots of time to find the Cricket Club, any pub crawl planned? (I think that's me on the right!)

Out of the station, down the hill to your left, turn left pass the bus station & under the viaduct. It's < a ten minute walk.

Last time we called at the Golden Lion & the Queen, but it's rumoured that the Black Swan is reopen and selling the real stuff.

Plus I thought we may pop up to Barearts. No draught beer, but a large choice of their own brewed beer in bottle and it is quirky (and very pink!!)

It's also an art gallery specialising in nudes, hence BareArts.

I suppose there could be another private art gallery somewhere with it's own brewery, but I'm not holding my breath.

    Hi ROB & 'ob'.

One o'clock it is then. Looking forward to it. Be nice if the decent weather held to the w/e.
