Default 'Beertickers'. Blighty Channel. Saturday 21/8/10 at 20.00.

    From today's Times:

'Film maker Phil larkin follows Brian the Champ (38,500 beers since he started in the 1980's) and various other beertickers as they trawl the boozers of our country for new beers to tick off, unearthing a quintessentially British world of unfathomable rules and eccentric people.'

Might be worth a look, assuming you're not out in pursuit of Clutterbuck's 'Old Horizontal'.

I'd certainly have liked to watch that, but presume that's a subscription channel? I only get the freeview ones...

The channel is only available on Sky Digital, TalkTalk TV and Virgin Media. It is not available over the air on Freeview unfortunately.

This is an airing of the "Beertickers - Beyond the Ale" documentary made last year - see this site for details. Actually it's the first broadcast of the film albeit on a minority channel

PS I've ordered my copy of the DVD

Did anybody actually watch it? I couldn't as I haven't made a pact with the devil (i.e. subscribed to Sky). Was it any good?
