I only tend to post here when I run into a really nice beer and here's one: Jolly Sailor (Selby) Dark Nights - a seasonal special which deserves a regular slot. Described as a stout but a really easy-drinking and well-balanced dark beer.
On leaving the bar, I felt a strong blow to the back of my head. Turning round, I discovered it was the pavement

Nottingham,Barnes and Pimlico.Decent week if a bit mixed on the beer front.

    BrewDog -- Punk IPA (c)
Acorn -- Gorlovka Imperial Stout *
Blue Monkey -- Primate Best Bitter
Beavertown -- Gamma Ray American IPA (keg)
    Abbeydate -- Family Heirloom
    Castle Rock -- SIPA Simcoe
Liquid Lights -- Turtles Have Short Legs MILD *
    Navigation -- American IPA
    Timothy Taylor -- Landlord
    Saltaire -- Sundance
    Saltaire -- Best
    Fyne -- Jarl * (>3PT)
BrewDog -- Dead Pony Club (c)
    BrewDog -- Elvis Juice *(c)

Special mention to the Liquid Lights Turtles Have Short Legs,a very tasty 3% hazelnut MILD,but BOTW just has to go to Fyne Jarl . What a flavoursome and quaffable 3.8% ,one of the best low ABV I've come across,it flew down in volume after a couple of disappointing Saltaire pints in The Cask.

Next week tackling the tidal Trent so visits to Newark and Gainsborough ,not forgetting the footie on Sunday.

A few pub visits low on variety but decent quality:

    Cask:
    Brancaster Oystercatcher*
    Adnams Ghost Ship*
    Oakham Bishops Farewell*

    Cans:
    Marble Berimbolo

BOTW Brancaster Oystercatcher. Not for the first time it flew past the 3 pint test and beyond on a warm early evening.
