Glass Half Empty
Norfolk - is it really that good for beer?
Just got back from a week in Norfolk. I visited a number of pubs which I will bore you with:
The Vernon Arms - Southrepps
The Foundry Arms - Northrepps
The Nelson Head - Horsey
The Crown - Trunch
The Fat Cat - Norwich
The Windham Arms - Sheringham
The Suffield Arms - Gunton
The White Horse - Overstrand
The Hill House - Happisburgh
I would have gone to more if Mrs Staal was more pubby!
My point is, all these pubs served quality ales (I am in the process of reviewing them and uploading photos). Is this common in Norfolk, or was I just lucky? Service in two of them was 'interesting', but even here, I could not fault the beer.
