Marble -- Stout *
The Bluberry Muffin Stout has won BOTW too many times,so this week goes to Marble Cubbio Damage. A clear West Coast IPA with the holy trinity of Simcoe,Amarillo and Citra ,it hides the 7.2% with ease .A classic of it's style.
Next week running down supplies
"Good people drink good beer" Hunter S Thompson
14 days to go.
All cans:
Oakham Citra T90
Marble/North Riding Silly Point
Marble Barley Wine 2018
Vibrant Forest Pupa
Northern Monk New World IPA
Marble Cubbio Damage
Marble Earl Grey IPA
Marble Rapid Vienna IPA
Marble Lagonda
All good but BOTW goes to Marble/North Riding Silly Point Cross County IPA. Described as the best of Marble Lagonda and North Riding's mosaic pales. It certainly hints at Lagonda and flies down even at 6.3%.
Next week mini kegs in the garden for outdoor socialising.
"Beer is food." Morse, Colin Dexter
All brilliant except one,
The Kernel Imperial Brown Stout London 1856
The Kernel India Double Porter Mosaic/Sabro
The Kernel India Pale Ale Galaxy/El Dorado/Sabro
Whiplash Bone Machine
Anspach & Hobday The Smoked Brown
Verdant Light Bulb
Verdant Headband
Unbarred NEIPA #02.21 Citra & Idaho 7
Wylam Hickey The Rake
Black Iris Embers Remain
Northern Monk Faith In Future
The only beer that disappointed somewhat was the Black Iris Embers Remain, brewed in collaboration with Burning Soul It was billed as a Campfire Stout and promised Cinder Toffee, vegan Marshmallow along with Vanilla and plenty of smokiness, I got plenty of smokiness but nothing else apart from a rather thin beer.
The rest were all stars but the Super Star was The Kernel Imperial Brown Stout London 1856 , brewed from an original Barklay Perkins recipe, the abv varies between batches, this one was 9.6. Fantastic and BOTW.
