It's been a bit of a weird week!

Weird Beard Bat Oat Of Hell
Weird Beard Five 0' Clock Shadow*
Weird Beard Sweet Child 0' Pine*
    Weird Beard The Dodo
    Weird Beard Double Perle*
    Weird Beard Orange & Black
    Weird Beard Gravelands
    Weird Beard Double D'oh*
    Weird Beard The Mountain
    Siren Scattered Light*
    Siren Nacken*
    Sierra Nevada Pale Ale*

As you can see I had a Weird Beard delivery with mixed results , honorable mentions for the two Siren beers , last weeks botw in Nacken and also the Scattered Light, previously described in the pubs galore bar post #805 , Barley Wine is not normally my cup of tea but this was really good, wood is a thing it seems. Weird Beard provided not only BOTW but NOTW (name of the week) with Sweet Child 0' Pine as well as BBBOTW (bloody bad beer of the week) , Mountain which had an awful taste I cant really describe, maybe the taste was like the smell of disinfectant in a musty old train station, anyway more than half went down the sink.
BOTW goes to Weird Beard Double Perle.jpg, An 8.6% A Coffee Milk Stout, it got better and better the more I drank.
Next week Iv'e got a few mixed cans from various brewers coming from Craft Metropolis.

A very modest beer can week, wine dominant.

    Vibrant Forest -- Antidote *
Vibrant Forest -- Darkened Ardour *
    Vibrant Forest -- Altitudes (Azacca/Simcoe)
    Thornbridge -- Jaipur IPA *

BOTW goes again to Vibrant Forest Darkened Ardour,an imperial stout with a whole bunch of flavours.

Next week ,with stocks running low time for some thought about which brewer to order new supplies from.

    More Vibrant Forest action:

    Bottles:
    Titanic Plum Porter
    Oakham Citra

    Cans:
    Marble Berimbolo
    Northern Monk New World IPA
    Vibrant Forest Pupa
    Vibrant Forest Black Oktober
    Vibrant Forest Elmo
    Marble Cubbio Damage
    Vibrant Forest Precipice of Light
    Marble Extra Special Marble
    Marble Lagonda
    Vibrant Forest Stone Sap

Really enjoying the Vibrant Forest beers although the stronger ones tend to limit consumption.

BOTW Vibrant Forest Pupa. A 4.5% pale ale described as juicy. I'd go with that as it's gently tropical. Very refreshing and works well as an opener or session ale. Went straight through the stock and have ordered more.

Like some of the above posters, starting to quiet consumption down a bit:

    Cask
    XT APA (4.7%)

    Cans
    Dark Star Session IPA (4.2%)
    Meantime London Pale Ale (4.3%)
    Vocation Heart & Soul (4.4%)
Electric Bear 48 Hours & Counting (13.0%) vanilla imperial stout

The last on the list was the penultimate of a big batch purchased from Beercraft at the end of January. My notes read as follows: "Poured with a dark, effervescent head that soon subsided. Faint nose of vanilla (I almost had to dip my nose into the glass). The addition of Muscavado sugar makes a slightly sticky mouthfeel (a stickiness remains on the lips after each sip) although the alcohol hit is dampened by the sugar and vanilla."

I've got myself through some strong stouts and porters before Christmas and into the New Year and this was the strongest so far but arguably the best.
