Default Lets Design a Pub Sign! (Part III)

Sorry to lumber you chaps once more but I need some more expert advice and research tips from your good selves.
Basically, 'The Badminton Arms' at Coalpit Heath in Bristol need a new pictorial sign to replace the rather drab lettered one that swings at present. So of course Youngie dives in with the "No problem squire!" quote to the bosses "I'll knock you up a lovely Heraldic Coat of Arms sign!"

Only I cant find a reference anywhere. Surely there is a Lord Badminton somewhere? An Earl, a Duke whatever? But no, nothing.
As Badminton is a small little village i doubt there are any municipal type arms either.
I know the Duke of Beaufort owns the Badminton House estate (I've already done a Beaufort Arms sign for the Wadworth pub in Cheltenham) but that seems a bit of a cop out!

Any ideas/help/advice gratefully accepted as ever.

My first instinct was to go for some sort of horse theme, as I'm sure many people would associate Badminton with the horse trials.

I think that could be quite classy for a nice country pub for example, but as the Badminton Inn has very much the look of a typical kind of estate pub to me (See the Google Street View) I'm not sure it would look right.

I am now trying to imagine what instant impression I would get of a pub displaying that sign.

    Probably lots of kids.

Peter Sellers used to do a character called Lord Badminton , could be a good one for a lighthearted sign
Theres a Man with a Mullet going Mad with a Mallet in Millets !
