Eventually got mine booked for this Friday the 12th at last. Very strange I'm near mid 60s yet only just got me letter. Also booked me second one for 28th May same time.

Odd. I live in west London and have a booking for this Sunday and then again on 30th May, so you're ahead of me by two days. But I'm 52. My brother-in-law who lives in Oxford is also booked and he's just 50.

MS Camra got her letter today, but when we try and book it tells her to go to the Etihad.

We have a major centre in Rochdale, where I had mine.

    Makes no sense.
A pub is for life not just for Christmas

Both this and my Christmas Eve flu jab were all done via SMS, including a link to a website where I had to reply to about four questions - by just clicking a 'tick' box - and then about 30 minutes later I got a text telling me the time, date and venue, 1.2 miles north of where I live, considerably closer than the Emirates.

Crazy, that must surely be correctable? My friend's Mum, 86, lives in a Cambridge village and was initially told to go to Stevenage! Eventually amended to neighbouring village location, not sure how...

I got my letter and booked on line, only the nearest centre it threw up was York, about 30 miles away when the nearest centre is actually less than 2 miles away. I tried again using the postcode of my nearest centre and guess what, still bloody York. We drove past the nearest one to get to York

In contrast Mrs Boots got her notification by SMS and was jabbed at the surgery.

I think this is a bit unfair.

There are actually two separate systems running in parallel:
    1) The national system being run centrally by the NHS for the larger vaccination centres which you can book yourself directly once you become eligible.
    2) The local systems being run primary care networks where you usually need to wait until contacted by your doctor's surgery.

Sometimes one option becomes available before the other - there is thus an element postcode lottery and luck involved, but it is not an IT problem.
