    Default Lockdown 2

My local pub has dropped its cask beer prices by 50p a pint, I saw on social media that selected 'Spoons were dropping to 99p a pint. A few breweries and on-line beer sellers have discounts already. Many local pubs shortened their cask range a week or two ago. Personally I think we're in for the long haul here, especially with a Government that seems to hate pubs.

Although well replenished on a stretching walk on the Kent / Sussex / Surrey border, my intentions to have a quick half of something light at The Oxted Inn whilst waiting for my train disappeared when I spotted the 'all real ales 99p per pint' signs in anticipation of 'lockdown II', with a Jaipur clip visible on one of the sparsely populated pair of four-handpump banks...

My local Spoons was selling real ale for 99p a pint yesterday. It would have been rude not to indulge!

Had a mini-crawl around Dulwich this evening - the average price of a pint was comfortably north of £5.50. Why on earth didn't I just go down to my local Spoons?
