A mix of cask and can.

    Stringers Red Lorry
    North Yorkshire Yorkshire Porter
    Wantsum Red Raddle
    Potbelly A Piggin IPA
    Three Castles Stoned
    Parker Dark Spartan Stout
    Flowerpots Perridge Pale
Siren Barrel Aged Caribbean Chocolate Cake*
Siren Death By Caribbean Chocolate Cake*
    Siren Origin Story*
    London Beer Factory Zia*

The cask was decent enough, but you can only eat so much!
BOTW to be honest is any of the three Siren beers by way of tin, all stunning as was the Zia but having to pick one , I'll go with the Death By CCC.

I'm not really a substantial meal in a pub person,so a mix of bottles and cans.

BrewDog -- Dead Pony Club (can)
    BrewDog -- Elvis Juice (can)
Black Sheep -- Milk Stout * (bottle)
    Vocation -- Life & Death * (can)
    Theakston's -- Old Peculier (bottle)
Thornbridge -- Jaipur IPA * (can)

Having been alerted last week by a&h ,bought a bottle from Tesco of Black Sheep Milk Stout, and promptly made it BOTW.A perfect companion on a very wet night aboard while drifting through Tier 3.

Next week stocking up for Christmas here

Mostly viognier and shiraz or merlot so the shoot-out is between Five Points JUPA and Theakston Old Peculier, the latter gets the vote. Must get a supply of dark beers in...

Not many pubs reopened in Tier 2 so no cask yet

    Oakham Citra
    Vocation Smash & Grab
    Marble Barley Wine
    Buxton Axe Edge
    Northern Monk New World IPA
    Vocation Life & Death
    Marble Cross Collar
Brewdog vs Cloudwater New England IPA
    Brewdog Hazy Jane

All cans aside from the Citra and all good. BOTW goes to Marble Barley Wine 2018. An exceptional example which balances enough bitterness with the sweetness to avoid being cloying and at 12.4% makes these difficult times easier to bear.

ABVs crept up last week - bottle unless stated:

    Blackened Sun Hédoné (3.6%)
New Bristol Cinder Toffee Stout (4.0%) (can)
Samuel Smith's Organic Chocolate Stout (5.0%)
White Hag The Dark Druid Chocolate Orange Pastry Stout (5.5%) (kiddie can)
White Hag Dark Druid Mexican Hot Chocolate Pastry Stout (5.5%) (kiddie can)
    Blackened Sun Awakening (5.7%)
Electric Bear Last Night A Brewer Saved My Life (6.0%) (can)
Siren Nitro Breakfast Stout (6.5%) (kiddie can)
Wiper & True Plum Pudding Porter (6.6%) (can)
Play Brew Chocolate & Honeycomb Birthday Cake Stout (6.5%) (can) *
BrewDog Layer Cake (7.0%) (can) *
    Samuel Smith's Imperial Stout (7.0%)
Black Sheep Imperial Russian Stout (8.5%)
    Camden Town Beer 2019 (11.0%)

An eclectic mix last week; deliveries came in from The Real Ale Store (via Amazon - the Sam Smith's beers, with Yorkshire Stingo not yet sampled), Siren Brew (the Caribbean Chocolate Cake selection), the Impy stouts from Black Sheep and some odds and sods via BeerCraft of Bath.

The Camden was an imperial pilsner which I'd had sitting in the fridge for months and needed drinking as the BBE was November 2020; tasted a bit like beer champagne which was novel albeit not world-beating in my eyes (or tastebuds). I didn't get on with the Black Sheep Imperial Russian Stout and certainly knew I'd had one the next day - perhaps it was a little too 'fresh' for me as the bottle does states that it can be 'expected to keep going strong for 4 years or more', so I may keep the remaining 3 bottles for subsequent Christmases. The Siren was also novel; rarely for me, I made a note which states: "slips down like an enjoyable Guinness & Tia Maria".

BOTW was a toss-up between BrewDog's Layer Cake - a marshmallow and chocolate stout which reminded me a little of Tiny Rebel's Stay Puft, albeit less sweet and the Play Brew Chocolate & Honeycomb Birthday Cake Stout. In the end, I have to side with the latter; brewed to celebrate the brewery's first birthday. Almost a 'Crunchie-in-a-can' milk stout with the lactose taking away some of the sweetness, but remaining robust enough:

BOTW: Play Brew Chocolate & Honeycomb Birthday Cake Stout

Next week, cracking into the Christmas ales as well as expecting a delivery from Craft Metropolis as well as 2 x Metalheadz Christmas jumpers.

TL;DR - man orders beer online and then drinks it
