"Beer is food." Morse, Colin Dexter
An epic beer week with the abv ramped up on many , but so very enjoyable. Tins, bottles and one cask offering.
Elusive The Wasteland 11.5%
Elusive Lord Nelson 6.8%
Elusive Plan B 4.2%
Tiny Rebel Clwb Tropica 5.5%
Beavertown Lupuloid 6.7%
BrewDog Triple Hazy 9.5%
Wantsum Black Pig (cask) 4.8%
Siren/Salt One Through Three 6.0%
Siren Nitro Caribbean Chocolate Cake 7.4%
Siren Caribbean Chocolate Pancake Stack 7.4%
Siren Sold My Soul For Citra 7.4%
An almost impossible task to choose one with three or four here that could make my top ten beers of the year but I'm going to go with Elusive The Wasteland. Just unbelievably fantastic, Finchampstead rocks with both Elusive and Siren dwelling on the same industrial estate.

Highlights of the week were sampling the 1872 Porter and the High Wire Grapefruit beers for the first time, having heard plenty about them on these pages and both delivered via MM Wines. Another highlight was visiting the Blackened Sun brewery in north Milton Keynes which I'd read about here via the PuG Blog Tracker. All beers contain Belgian yeasts and although the 10% stout I was after had run out, and their Christmas beer—a chocolate and raspberry imperial milk stout—is still a couple of weeks away, due to a 'Black Friday Special', I was able to pick up 13 bottles from their range for under £25.
BOTW (tie): Elland 1872 Porter & Magic Rock High Wire Grapefruit
"Breakneck speed we drown ten pints of bitter"
I'm impressed with the beers sourced by other contributors to the thread ,I have been tardy relying solely on cans from my local Tesco.
