Default Don't You Just Love It

When you've just written a full review on a pub and for some inexplicable reason you press the cancel button instead of submit.

Yep, it's happened to me. Also contributions to this forum have gone where unsaved documents go, usually caused by either accidentally leaving the page, or by not noticing that my wifi connection had disappeared. C'est la vie! Just have another beer and try to forget about it.

Write review in a word document, SAVE, copy and paste onto site.
Drink drink, whoever you may be,
we are the drunk and disorderly,
and we’ll drink more beer wherever we may be,
and we’ll meet you all in a pub said he.

Yup. This is what I do. Makes my spelling look great and it even adds accented characters to words like café and façade and soupçon.

    Bloody fancy southerners

Only the posher pubs in York or the hipster bits of Leeds might deserve the use of such words.

Oh yes...and there's Châteauesque when applied to some grander styles of pub architecture.

OK, I admit to having used décor, but soupçon and châteauesque? Really? In a pub review?

Anyway, I thought the circumlex was being phased out? (How is your sister, by the way?)

I've just found out, four years late, that the Académie Française have deleted the "i" in “oignon” - what is the world coming to?

Mind you, on the plus side, I have also found out that the Québécois word for a selfie is "un egoportrait" - that's more like it!
