Planning on checking that out in a couple of weeks time.

I need to see this, too. Usually don't get any further than the Wipers.(The Ypres Castle Inn)

Pub visits are few and far between. My BOTW is the ever reliable Surrey Oaks

Had a few pub visits in August, but this one during a short stay in London stands out for me as pub of the month. Great selection, decent quality, proper pub-like experience during strange times.

    The Victoria

Yet another return visit - a solid performer when in these parts.

After a weekend in the excellent Nottingham-Beeston axis, I would expect to name one of the big-hitters there but, in the circumstances, I particularly enjoyed the lesser-visited Falcon, which provided the closest I've been to a 'normal' pub visit since March. But I nominate the Castle Barge as my potm, after saving the day on a rain-swept return via Newark, when 2 of the shortlisted pubs were not open Sun pm until 15:00 and 16:00 respectively. Shameful!
Castle Barge reminded me greatly of Peterborough's Charters, fewer ales (5 or 6) but those we had were in excellent condition.

My Pub of the month goes easily to The Fox & Hounds, maybe not the best beer from my perspective but a fantastic unspoilt Youngs pub, It was good on my first visit which must be pushing on 15 years ago, and still good now, the most normal experience post lockdown pub to date.

Most of my August pub visits were within 15 miles of home, mostly Harrogate or Knaresborough but I did venture as far as Leeds and the Templar Hotel had great beer as usual and got its Covid procedures about right.
