Only managed to get to the pub yesterday but what a range to choose from in York. I read about this beer on Tandlemans Blog, and when I saw it in a pub I had to try it and guess what he was spot on. So my BOTW is going to be Shipyard Independence

I was pleasantly surprised by The Garden Ladder's mini fest ystdy, 4 Brodie's on stillage, 2 Redemption & a.n.other on HP. I was equally surprised at the quality of the Redemption beers, their Pale Ale can have my botw.
This weeks Beer of the week from me is

Don't You just hate Pubs that say

I've just joined Alcoholics Anonymous - I still drink, just under a different name.
It's been diversity over numbers this week - I managed to get a couple of ales in from a couple of Kent breweries new to me - Larkins and Tunbridge Wells (Traditional and Royal respectively). Decent enough but not BotW material though. Will stump for Skinners Betty Stoggs for this week's BotW which has become a regular in my local Ivy Leaf.
BOTW goes to Westerham 1965 Special Bitter, which was head and shoulders above everything else I had this week.
This is the third Westerham beer I've nominated in as many months - they're rapidly becoming a firm favourtie. Is anyone else a fan?
