Lightbulb CheckIn.pub - straightforward COVID-secure customer check ins!

The Government has just released updated guidance on Keeping workers and customers safe during COVID-19 in restaurants, pubs, bars and takeaway services. This is good news – we can finally start to get ready to re-open. But there’s a lot to do in a short space of time!

We all now have an obligation to “Assist [the Test and Trace] service by keeping a temporary record of your customers and visitors for 21 days, in a way that is manageable for your business, and assist [...] with requests for that data if needed.” So how can this be achieved practically?

This morning, we are excited to launch CheckIn.pub – the simplest, lowest friction way to allow your guests to check in to your venue. It’s so straightforward that you can be set up and running in 10 minutes. Just register with us and print customised posters for display in your venue!

Your customers simply send a text (or scan a QR code) when they arrive at your venue, and we’ll securely store their contact number and time of entry for 21 days in case you are required to share it with NHS Test and Trace at a later date. There are no forms for customers to fill in and no friction. The whole process takes less than 10 seconds. We send your customer a text back which they can show to service or security staff to confirm that they are checked in!

Try it for yourself – text QUVI to the number 07727 711785 (standard message rate) to check-in to our demo venue! Or use this QR code:

We are offering free trial accounts until July 4th (which we can extend if you are opening later) and then just £6 per week (less than £1 a day) thereafter. There’s no minimum commitment and you can cancel online at any time should the regulations change. There are no limits on the number of check-ins that can be made, and we’ll even provide a live count of the number of check-ins at your venue in the last hour and day to assist you with managing capacity. We’ll be monitoring the latest Government advice and further adapting the service to meet the latest guidance as it evolves.

We’d be happy to answer any questions – just drop us an email, otherwise you can register and get started right away at https://CheckIn.pub/.

We do have a 'manual' check in too where you as the venue can manually add a contact number (e.g. a landline) to your daily check ins for customers who have no access to a mobile phone or are unable to send a text. Hopefully those instances will be few and far between depending on your usual clientele though!
