    That's a good question, and I'm giving it much thought, but Charlotte Marionneau (from Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds) is an absolute must on the scissors...

    I'd have Kate Pierson in there. She could harmonise pretty much anything. Plus she's a great dancer!

    Big Jim Prime from Deacon Blue tinkling the keys

    Seeing as Hooky's been mentioned then I'll go for Derek Forbes on bass

    Stephen Morris on drums, could go like a machine

    Freddie Mercury or George Michael on vocals

    Guitar. Hmm. Will think. Johnny Marr was too fleeting and became pretty turgid, but I'd take the Smiths version...
