Default Beer of the Week (w/e 17th May 2020)

A pub is for life not just for Christmas

    Missing cask:

    Marble Lagonda IPA*
    Northern Monk New World IPA*
    Vocation Twisted Sour
    Northern Monk Rapscallion*
    Vocation Smash & Grab*
    Marble Trials #2 Imperial IPA*
    Oakham Citra*
    Marble Stout
    Vocation/Marble Hop Skip & Juice*
    Northern Monk Heathen IPA*

A good selection supplemented by a Vocation delivery which was inspired by Spinko and his admiration for Smash & Grab - thank you.

The Smash & Grab may well be a contender next week but this week BOTW goes to Marble Lagonda IPA. A tried and trusted old favourite which turns the three pint (can) test on it's head with the challenge being whether you can limit yourself to three. I failed miserably fortunately and if I was only allowed one beer during this pub-free period then this would be it.

Out saving pubs and enjoying it.

    Thornbridge Green Mountain
    Vocation Pride & Joy
    Vocation Love & Hate
Vocation / Marble Hop Skip & Juice
    Salt IKAT
    Oakham Citra
    Black Sheep Pineapple Milkshake
    London Beer Factory Fuzzy Recall
    Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing

All at the least very pleasant, some very good , BOTW this week is Salt IKAT 8.0% and full of juicy tropical flavour.

    Fastard Towers.

    Siren -- Yulu (c)
    Freedom -- Lager (c)
    Thornbridge -- Lukas (c)
    Titanic -- Chocolate & Vanilla Stout (b)
    Titanic -- Iceberg (b)
    Titanic -- Plum Porter (b)
    Wild Beer -- Pogo (c)
    Titanic -- Steerage (b)
    Wiper & True -- Kaleidoscope Pale (c)
    Titanic -- Cappuccino Stout (b)
    Harbour -- Panda Eyes (b)
    BrewDog -- Elvis Juice (c)

No knockout IPA's in that list ,as I deserve a rest.Decent variety with BOTW going to Titanic Chocolate & Vanilla Stout, just breasting the Plum Porter. Both benefit from a typical Titanic dry and bitter finish which just begs another.

Next week more of the same.

I don't really like ordering stuff in I might not like. Then again, I don't like ordering 12 different cans and having taste buds all over the place.

So it's Vocation Smash and Grab again. I still have about 60 cans knocking around so good job I'm not going off it.
