Default Favourite & less favourite beer bloggers

ROBCamra mentioned on another thread that some of the Blogs in the Blog Tracker section were a bit, well not to his taste. So not a poll but which bloggers are a "don't miss" and which "a load of piss" for you? I'm not suggesting the least favourite get kicked off the site this is just a bit of fun and no one gets hurt.

    My list of what's hot:

    http://pubcurmudgeon.blogspot.com
    http://barclayperkins.blogspot.com/
    https://boakandbailey.com/
    http://tandlemanbeerblog.blogspot.com
    http://zythophile.co.uk/ (when sticking to history)
    http://brapa-4500.blogspot.com/
    http://cookinglager.blogspot.com/
    http://seeingthelizards.blogspot.com
    https://ladysinksthebooze.wordpress.com

and what's not - just the wurst:

    https://retiredmartin.com (boring)
    https://baileysbeerblog.blogspot.com/ (mega-boring)
https://thebeernut.blogspot.com/ (if you want to wind up this one, make a comment including the word "Eire" instead of "Republic of Ireland" he'll love you.)
http://maltworms.blogspot.com (that stream of consciousness stuff can get a bit waring)

others are just dreary or take themselves too seriously or pontificate with too little knowledge

(and/or bad spelling/grammar, does anyone these days know the difference between To, Too & Two or There, They're & Their? or not let their spell checker get away with Then for Than?)

I broadly agree with your list. There were several who seemed to feel the need to highlight how anti-Brexit they were, which was boring and ruined whatever they were writing about. Cooking Lager is my favourite.

I am wondering how many people who have recently started writing a blog, are now reluctant to make their blog public - especially on Pubs Galore, for fear of being secretly sniggered, and sneered at?

This is my blog, It's nothing too thought provoking , I'm not into politics, beer politics or otherwise, it's generally just a retrospective commentary on various pub visits. Personally I couldn't care a jot if it's sniggered or sneered at, It's there so if anyone who comes across it and gets something from it, that's fine, If it's not their thing , that's also fine.

Zythophile - he flies the flag for the Lantern glass.

...and on the subject of spelling/grammar (mine being far from perfect, mind you), not knowing the difference between It's and Its gets my goat.

    Blogs I seek out:

    Shut up about Barclay Perkins
    Tandlemann
Paul Bailey-when discussing Kentish issues.I think our paths crossed when I was an active (?) CAMRA member.
    Boak and Bailey
Look at Brew-I like to look over the border into Sussex. We might even retire there if Gatwick is abandoned post-COVID.
    Oh, Good Ale.
Pub Curmudgeon, though I wish he'd change the record.
    Ed Wray
    Wee Beefy
Stonch: We've been to his pub, and his travel writing is engaging, though he does bang on about lager beer.

If it's "secretly" how would they know?

I suppose if you write something in a public space you must expect criticism, and I don't mean trolling. If someone finds a blog boring or dreary that's just their opinion and the blogger can either ignore it or think about it.

An excellent blog. One that really is just about the love of pubs and beer. The internal (pubby!) photos give the viewer the feeling that they are in the pub and taking in all its atmosphere. Especially enjoyable at this pub free time!
