A few good ones on that list, I'd agree with most. We're not limited to WW2 are we?

There are a couple of decent ones depicting the Vietnam War but mostly they're over-long US navel gazing or re-fighting a lost war.

    Ice Cold in Alex
    In Which we Serve
    The Cruel Sea
    San Demetrio, London
    Dunkirk (both)
    Waterloo
    The Longest Day
    Gallipoli
    The Way to the Stars
    Zulu
    The Big Red One
    Paths of Glory
Drink drink, whoever you may be,
we are the drunk and disorderly,
and we’ll drink more beer wherever we may be,
and we’ll meet you all in a pub said he.

    Apocalypse Now
    The Deer Hunter

Over-long US navel gazing, I fell asleep during Apocalypse Now it was so tedious, Conrad's Heart of Darkness was much better, and a bloody sight shorter.

PS I think I fell asleep during the Deer Hunter as well, notable only for the music.
