Had a look round as I thought Brigantes in York was part of Market Town Taverns and found above link. The main man of Market Town Taverns also bought Roosters Brewery earlier this year for the sons to run.
Alcohol doesn't solve problems .... but then again, neither does milk.

Regardless of the moral view you take on lapdancing licences, the fact is that some pubs would not be open without them. What constitutes more of a problem to local populations is, I would suggest, clubs and bars that serve cheap booze until the early hours of the morning. I appreciate the views of Tower Hamlets's concerned residents, but I think they've let their moral outrage overrule any objective assessment of what the real threat to law and order is.
Of course, I don't visit these establishments myself, other than to - er, enjoy a nice warm pint of lager while I draft a quick review for PuG. Honest.
