Admiral buys Hawthorn from New River. . Probably a slightly safer home for the 674 pubs, but I still worry about these pub groups getting larger. One careless corporate decision can wreck the lot.

Didn't we have a league table of pub ownerships somewhere?
On leaving the bar, I felt a strong blow to the back of my head. Turning round, I discovered it was the pavement

In fact I would argue Admiral is the worst of all of the pubcos. The number of pubs around here they have run into the ground and sold to property developers is borderline criminal.

Quite true that the England NHS vaccination cards aren't official certificates but they are at least something and I'm surprised that other UK nations don't give out similar.
I have the NHS app which indicates my level of plague prestige with a large green 'tick'. It's a useful app as you can make doctors' appointments on it and use it for ordering repeat prescriptions too.

I think you need to be registered to the 'patient access' scheme with your GP to enable those functions..?

This affects my local, and the landlady has just received her price list from Punch, with the price of a barrel of Thatcher's doubling compared to what they pay Youngs. Sadly they've decided that it's no longer viable, and are not only leaving the pub, but the pub trade entirely.
