    Another catch - the 5% reduced VAT rate wasn't applied to alcohol sales yet again.

    The Magdala Tavern in South Hill Park, Hampstead, is going to reopen as a pub, more than six years after closing, as soon as coronavirus regulations allow. See this report in the Camden New Journal: http://camdennewjournal.com/article/...-set-to-reopen

    I lived the first 13 years of my life in this pub's street in a lower ground floor flat just up the road. The 'bullet holes' were made not with Ruth Ellis' Smith & Wesson, but with the landlady's Black & Decker.
