Brass Castle have one out soon as well a 440ml tin rather than Sam's 550ml bottle, only a piffling 7.5% as well, Sam's is 8%. No word on price.

A friends daughter was drinking some of the Sam's Stingo in The Chandos last night and was mightily impressed. No word on price.

Bloody hell, and I thought the £4.95 I paid for mine from Tebay Services was expensive. Looks like I got a bargain! I've not consumed it yet, so can't comment on whether it was worth it or not.

You used to get bottled Stingo in London when I first moved here.Dont think I even bought it although a mate used to add it to his half drunk pint so I must have had a sip as I recall it was like Special Brew.

You probably could have bought it here on draught until 1964.

For those interested in London craft beer, and Bermondsey in particular, I've added a new pub today. It's called "The Kernel Brewery Taproom". The web site is as minimalist as the bottle labels.

There's a fair few in East London nowadays, even more if you take the short trip over the River Lea into Tottingham. I've only been to one or two in East London and none in the rest of London.
