Default Iconic pub building saved in Havant

"A PUB that has served ales for 125 years is set to close this week – just days after being listed by English Heritage as one of the great buildings of its era.

After a long battle by residents, The White Hart pub in East Street, Havant, has been Grade-II listed."

Is anyone surprised that Wells, Youngs and Brewdog pubs are all prominent on my "avoid" list? If I see a pub in the GBG with Bombardier or Doom Bore listed as a regulat beer then it puts me off visiting it.

Not necessarily, for me, if the pub also does guest beers. However, it can spectacularly backfire. A few years ago we visited a GBG listed pub near Whitby that listed John Smith's, plus guest ales. You can imagine the look on my face when they turned out to be GK IPA and Black Sheep Bitter!

The Daily Mail get Jilly Goolden to taste test a load of lagers (and a Trappist beer ??) to prove that they don't all taste the same.
