I think it's a bit misleading. Waltham Forest closures look to me as though they have stopped in the last few years. Hackney has new places under the backdrop of having the number of pubs decimated in the previous thirty years.
The Bexley branch of CAMRA now has 9 micropubs in the area nearly all or even all of which have opened in the last five years.
I'm surprised to hear that figure.

    Default Profanisaurus Defintions

I'm a bit behind with last month's Viz but there are two beer or pub related definitions.

    Craft Ale Fan

An alcoholic. Someone who quaffs 8.5% lager at lunchtime because of the "hoppy" flavour or whatever.

    Pit of Misery

Any pub frequented by the sort of twats who shout "Dilly Dilly" as they neck their bottles of fizzy piss.

I thins this is further evidence that "Real Ale Twats" is an inside job.

Default Watch how beer is brewed in East Anglia (1963, Adnams Brewery)

This link to the BFI website was highlighted in the latest Wakefield CAMRA eletter. Passing it on FWIW. A nice gentle trip down memory lane.

I haven't been there for years but it worries me that it was quoted in that naff list of the 200 best English pubs.
