Looks like a shop conversion to me, not a true pub. Presumably this is an award for beer rather than authenticity?

Not personally been so can't judge, but nothing wrong with beer, every pub should have some.

Come off it - it's a pub, and a very good one too!

I wasn't impressed with the beer on either of the occasions I've visited. I guess it must have been better on several hundred days in between.

When I visited I thought it wasn't even the best pub in Tamworth/Staffordshire (can't remember which).

Also didn't impress me on any of my visits. Didn't find the staff very welcoming and wouldn't bother to return. I can think of loads of far superior places

Hmmm...Looks like the local Tourist Info centre, a clothes shop later sweet shop tax dodge conversion, opposite a municipal block.

It's a pub. I've been there. It's won local, regional and national prizes... as a pub.
