I've been there once, many years ago. A fairly ordinary (Leeds) Tetleys, if I recall correctly. Long before I started writing reviews.

Perhaps these people are just closet drinkers.

They rely on being fairly busy most of the time and they must already be haemorrhaging money. Even if or when they reopen I think they will have lost a lot of trade.
JDW will be fine. They have a good business plan and I am sure the banks will lend them money if needed.

Contrary to what I posted yesterday a relative of mine was at a video conference today and the boss of a big pub group said unless they open the pubs by the end of June Wetherspoons will be in big trouble. May only be his opinion.

Might be wishful thinking, I suspect JDW has damaged the trade of PubCo pubs more than other pubs.
Drink drink, whoever you may be,
we are the drunk and disorderly,
and we’ll drink more beer wherever we may be,
and we’ll meet you all in a pub said he.

Did anyone sign up to the virtual Beer and Cheese tasting (email sent to camra members?)?, it's free and may be an alternative use of 90mins on 17Jun afternoon.
I'm gonna try to attend, though not sure that Citra would be a good accompaniment to any cheese, and my cheddar needs to be vintage...

Perhaps we should have a new thread for favourite beer-cheese combinations...
