It’s with great sadness that last night, after a fantastic 25 years, our lease at the Jerusalem Tavern came to an end.
We are truly sorry to say goodbye to the Jerusalem Tavern and we would like to thank all our customers for their support over the years.
The pub will be reopening under a new name and our delicious beers will still be available there. We wish the new occupants the very best.

NO. I think it was a bit overrated. Whenever I was in the area, I'd always go to the Hand & Shears.

It was closed at the weekends due to lack of custom and the drop in office workers can't have done it much good.

Allegedly it is earmarked for a cocktail bar.
On leaving the bar, I felt a strong blow to the back of my head. Turning round, I discovered it was the pavement

Joy! I hope they don't rip out the 'authentic' early 18th century interior and make it end up looking like the awful Simmons down the road.

I think they may have their IPAs and Pale Ales mixed up, also "Stouts don't travel well". Using their example , I thought you could get Guinness almost anywhere in the world! Oh and I have never asked a bartender "what lager do you have in bottle or draught form", but maybe thats just me.

I think it's a foreign blog, but an amusing insight into an outsider's view of Britain.

An insider's view is not set in stone so they have no chance.
